Of course, this topic is very individual, but I will still dare to give some advice.
1. The first stage is, of course, choosing a wedding photographer based on his portfolio. Each photographer has his own style and style. You need to really like his work.)
But, one portfolio is not enough, it is very important to meet and see a selection of photos from one wedding. Because collecting a portfolio, regularly shooting weddings, is not a tricky matter. Another thing is to shoot a wedding from start to finish, and give a good result.
It is also advisable to ask to be shown a wedding that is as close to yours as possible in terms of location.
For example, if your celebration is going to be outside in the courtyard of a restaurant, ask for a similar example of outdoor shooting. If you are getting married in winter, ask for a winter shoot, or indoor shooting.
2. Price range. Of course, everyone has their own scale of wedding, you need to determine the price that you can afford. But do not be categorical. If you have found a person who suits you in all respects, I do not advise you to take a pose and look for another one, if there is even the slightest possibility to take the desired photographer, then take it. After all, the photos that he will take for you are the only thing with the rings that you will have left after the wedding. A little later, we will talk more about this priority in organizing a wedding.
3. You need to clarify in detail with the photographer what is included in his service package.
It often happens like this. People are scared by the amount of 1000 bucks, they find a cheaper photographer for 600. And then before the wedding it turns out that this money only includes a walk, for example. And the whole shooting day will cost 1300. This does not mean that the second photographer deceived you, they just formed service packages differently. Be sure to clarify all the packages.
4. It is a big plus when the photographer works with an assistant. This significantly improves the final result.
5. Well, and the most important thing is to choose a photographer simply as a person with whom it is easy to communicate, so that you are on the same wavelength. Shooting a wedding is a joint creativity, you should easily understand each other. The photographer should be able to listen to your wishes, pick up your ideas and wishes, if any, supplement them with his own. During the wedding, he should become your friend.
