Olga Ryzhkova shared her advice with us. Her magnificent wedding took place and now she has something to tell.
A former bride — to future brides. )
Are you planning a significant event? Are you going to unite your life with your loved one forever? Are you now in seventh heaven? Then you are reading exactly the article you need! I will try to help you figure it out and tell you what is necessary for a wedding!
And I would like to start with... Where does a wedding begin?
Actually, just as a theater begins with a coat rack, friendship with a smile, so a wedding has its origins. Probably, if I ask you where a wedding begins, you will answer... with a veil. But the question about the veil would have arisen if the young people had not met earlier, fallen in love, started dating, and as a result, the guy had not taken such an important and responsible step - a proposal of marriage. And then, you finally understand that your cherished dreams are coming true, but what to do, where to run, what to do and how to prepare for such an event?
First, you must decide whether you want a lavish wedding ceremony or a wedding "for two". Determine the approximate date of your wedding.
If you are going to get married, then choose a church and be sure to discuss the details of the wedding with the priest.
You need to choose a registry office, and you can safely go to the district registry office (at the place of registration of one of the lovers), or the Central one. However, today it is not a problem to apply for a wedding at any registry office you like, or to order an off-site ceremony (this will be a little more expensive, but all the guests will see your ceremonial part, and will be able to share the joy with you, without huddling in a small and stuffy room.
When the application is submitted, all the receipts are paid, the main stages are completed, the most important thing remains - to organize and celebrate your wedding. I can congratulate you - you are already formally, although NOT YET officially, called the groom and the bride!
Young people always want their wedding to pass without worries and troubles, and at the end of the celebration, for all the guests to say: what a beautiful bride and what a stately groom! A gorgeous couple, a wonderful wedding!
When preparing, you will need:
Strong nerves
Time for preparation
The most important thing is the groom and the bride
These are all jokes, but still there is a lot to do ahead, and there is no need to waste precious time.
If you plan some of the worries to professionals, then it's time to contact a specialized wedding planning agency.
Decide where you want to spend your honeymoon and where to go on your honeymoon. Book and pay for the trip.
Choosing a hall for the celebration.
When choosing a hall, you should be guided not only by the prices of the dishes and the menu, but also by many other factors. You need to think about how to accommodate the guests, and whether the size of the hall corresponds to the number of invited people. Think about how the tables will be arranged, where you and your other half will sit, your parents (it seems to me that they should be given a place of honor, from where they will be able to see you well, because they should admire you, so dear and already grown up).
Your parents will be overwhelmed with mixed feelings - sadness and joy, so do not forget to spend the day before with your parents, tell them how much you love and cherish them! And where will you seat the witnesses? Of course, you can sit at the same table, but you can also sit among the guests, they also have a very important task - to help you and control the process of the celebration. See if there is a place for dancing and competitions.
Decorating the hall.
The hall can be decorated with balloons, an arch, hearts made of balloons, wall newspapers about the newlyweds, and various ribbons. Halls decorated with fresh flowers look very beautiful; they can be laid out on the tables of the guests and the newlyweds. They can be in the style of the groom's boutonniere and the bride's bouquet. You can decorate the room with anything that your imagination or financial capabilities allow. Check with the administrator of the establishment; perhaps they can offer you something or advise you. They have seen many different special events.
Make a plan for seating guests at the wedding table. Prepare cards with the names of the guests for seating them at the table.
When choosing a menu, think about whether there are any vegetarians among your guests; if not, feel free to order a variety of meat dishes, fish, game, and cold cuts. Don't forget about salads, side dishes, and pickles. There should be enough food on the table so that at some point you don’t have to joke – you didn’t come here to eat, pour quickly! Guests will drink different drinks and in different doses, so there will be fewer drunks – take care of the snacks!
Perhaps the waiters will offer you a menu that they always prepare for celebrations, listen to their advice! Ask them about the signature dish of their establishment, how they can surprise you and your guests. And in general, I would recommend that before choosing a cafe, visit several of them, and choose exactly WHAT suits you. It will not only be pleasant, but also useful for business.
Choosing a dress.
If you are going to have a dress made, choose a studio and discuss all the details of its sewing. Be prepared to visit the studio a couple of times to try on the dress. Don't forget to buy shoes, underwear and accessories for the newlyweds' wedding attire. Don't forget to buy a suit for the groom at the same time.
Usually, everyone who knows about the upcoming wedding strives to give valuable advice that can help in finding a wedding dress. Meanwhile, everyone has different tastes and if you try to find a wedding dress taking into account all the advice, then the choice can drag on for a very, very long time. Therefore, before going to a wedding salon, you should think about whose recommendations are better to listen to, and whose - you can ignore. If you do your hair similar to the one you are going to wear at your wedding, then you will thereby make it easier to choose a veil or veil that will best suit your dress.
In a wedding salon, you can also choose the necessary wedding accessories to create your image of the bride - shoes, a hat, a veil, gloves, jewelry. When you go to a wedding salon, take with you, if you have, photos of wedding dresses, veils and hats that you liked and show them to the consultant of the wedding salon so that he has the opportunity to select and show you a wedding dress close in style.
However, remember - what you have noticed in the photos does not necessarily have to be copied exactly. In your wedding dress, you should look regal and beautiful, but in your own way. And not always the bride in the photo and the real bride have the same body type. Some brides make the mistake of ordering a dress one size smaller, because they think that they will certainly lose extra weight before the wedding ceremony. However, do not forget that it is much easier to adjust the dress to your figure than to add it. And remember – the dress should not just please you on someone else, or be fashionable, but it should suit YOUR figure! It should be comfortable, not press anywhere, not stick out anywhere!
Choose a hairdresser and makeup artist, get a manicure, pedicure and sign up for a hair and makeup rehearsal, so that you are not disappointed with the result on the big day.
Buy wedding rings in a jewelry store or make them to order. Buying wedding rings is a very important event. And you should approach it with all responsibility. The choice of wedding ring design is individual. Some people prefer a smooth traditional ring, others prefer fashionable two-tone wedding jewelry with a heart-shaped diamond, and others like extravagant wedding rings.
Choose a photographer and videographer. Discuss the route of the wedding walk with the photographer. Listen to his opinion.
Wedding photography services are offered by hundreds of specialists today - if you open the local press, you will see many ads offering services from both professionals and beginners with virtually no experience in photography. Accordingly, the price range also varies: beginners are ready to work for a minimal amount, while the cost of a professional photographer's services may well become one of the most significant items of expenditure on the upcoming wedding.
Many people mistakenly believe that by handing over a camera to friends, they can easily save money and get a lot of interesting and high-quality photos. And as a result, newlyweds see low-quality, blurry and dark photos that are unpleasant to even look at. When choosing a photographer, first of all, be guided not by the cost of his work, but by the quality of the portfolio photos. If you are completely satisfied with the style of work, you want to see a wedding album made in this style, feel free to place an order - the finished photos will not disappoint you.
One of the important qualities of a real professional is the ability to take into account the wishes of the customer, embodying them in his characteristic style of work. When choosing a camera operator, you should not rely only on the price or on recommendations from registry offices, agencies or restaurants. The main criterion for choosing should be quality. After all, this is a wedding, and there will be no opportunity to re-shoot a take.
Agree with the toastmaster and draw up a rough script for the wedding banquet. Meet with the toastmaster and work out a detailed plan for the celebration. Order the necessary props for the script.
Choose a musical group to accompany your banquet and a melody for the first dance.
Think about your first dance and, if necessary, hire a choreographer.
Start handing out wedding invitations to future guests. For distant relatives, do not forget to send invitations by mail.
Book a limousine and calculate the number of cars in the wedding motorcade. Also think about decorating the cars with balloons, ribbons and rings.
Choose and order a wedding bouquet and boutonniere.
Invite your friends to the bachelor and bachelorette parties.
Order fireworks or fireworks for the wedding banquet.
Do not forget to stock up on a few bottles of champagne and glasses for the walk.
If you are going to get married, you need to go to church in the morning for communion.
Don't forget the most important things: passports and rings.
Don't be nervous! You will have time for everything! Happy family life!
