As I wrote before, I was at a photo shoot not too long ago.
Next to the cheerful Kompot restaurant was a beauty salon with the same post-Soviet perestroika name—Absolut Plus. One of my favorites, which I spotted from afar. The painting is bright. I stopped by the showroom. I decided to approach from a distance.
I started to quiz my lover: What is this amazing dress in the picture outside? Who is this brilliant fashion designer? I want to order a dress like that for my beloved too! And urgently, right now. As long as I don't change my mind, I'll pay any money!
First she said something like, there's no such person now, then that she only accepts orders in the evenings (for some reason :) ) Then that it's a mystery, and something else. I'm getting a bit off topic. The funny thing is that this "dress" was made by me. I sewed the top from a sheet and the bottom from the duvet cover left over from the bed's photo shoot. I couldn't sleep on it, so I used it.
The model is standing on a stepladder, and underneath there are a box, a hat, and many other things to enhance the volume of the photo. So. After a few minutes, I found out that the woman who spoke to me had commissioned this photo from an advertising agency. They offered her this girl in a red dress for the layout, and she said yes. I hope they bought it. Although the woman acted strangely and a bit inappropriately.
I liked the salon. I liked the sign too. Below are a few more versions that other people sent me. Thank you all very much.

Photography, Advertising and Phu Quoc
Looking back, it is always interesting to see how a single photograph can travel far beyond its original purpose. A picture taken years ago can suddenly appear on a banner, in a magazine award poster, or even as digital art inside a computer game. That is the magic of photography — once created, images live their own life and continue to inspire, promote and connect people.
Today my focus is on Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam, where I work as a professional photographer. Here the context is different: not fashion awards or advertising campaigns in Europe, but the vibrant energy of weddings, family portraits, travel photography and creative projects by the sea. Yet the essence remains the same — a photograph is not only about capturing a moment, but also about telling a story that can resonate in unexpected places.
For couples, families, and brands coming to Phu Quoc, photography becomes more than just a service. It is a way to create images that might one day appear in places you never expected — a poster, a publication, or even a digital recreation.
Every frame has potential to go beyond personal memory and transform into part of a larger visual narrative.
If you are planning your wedding, a vacation photoshoot, or a creative project on Phu Quoc Island, I am here to help you capture those stories with the same passion and precision that once brought my earlier works onto magazine covers and event banners.
