PHOTO SHOOT THEME: HORN OF PLENTY

So. The weather is not suitable for flying. Gismeteo promises rain with thunderstorms. But Natasha came up with a very interesting idea. An excellent reason for several people with ideas to get together and do a new photo shoot under the code name "Horn of Plenty". So we did it. We got together and did it. )

We are:
Anna Stepanenko - a charming model.
Natalia Stelmakh - the mastermind and organizer of the project.
Alena Netyaga - a make-up artist, she is also a hairdresser/builder of strange structures from hair.
Vitaliy Netyaga - photographer and assistant on this shoot.
Mykhailo Zheleznyak - the second photographer at Stelmakh Studio and assistant on this shoot.
Eduard Stelmakh - photographer.

And we gathered on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. Of course, this is not Samui yet, but it is not Kyiv either. There are 11000 km left. We traveled around in advance and looked for a location in the vicinity of on Phu Quoc. A completely surreal place was found. With several different locations not far from each other. Looking ahead, I will say that we did not fully use the full potential of this place. It will be a good reason to return.

Here is actually one of the filming locations, in this unusual place.

Everyone started preparing their own work front.
Alena at the construction site. It's hard to believe yet, but it will be a truly beautiful structure. For now it just looks weird. )

Vitalik at the time of creating the adapter.

During the preparation process, it turned out that we were missing an adapter from the UPS to the smoke machine for filming outdoors. This is a strange story. The smoke machine is 800 watts and the UPS is 600 watts. In fact, they should not have been connected, not to mention the power, but I decided to take a risk.

Therefore, we went shopping and bought parts for the adapter.

Real, plastic vegetables and fruits from a Phu Quoc supermarket. Pure plastic!
They are needed for the Horn of Fertility.

This is what a girl with wire on her head looks like. And if you apply skill, you get a beautiful and somewhat romantic hairstyle. I wish at least one bride would want to do such a wedding hairstyle.)

If you can't build Eiffel Towers on your head, you'll be in charge of the creation process.
We gathered everything we needed and went to the garden.

Everyone to the garden, comrades!!! Everyone to the garden!

We are assembling our photographic equipment. The smoke machine on the UPS, as expected, did not want to start. But we took the smoke machine just in case. What if there was a socket lying around somewhere in the garden. )

Final preparations.

By the way, as I already said, it was Natasha's idea and she made the dress from our working fabric. This fabric has seen many photo shoots, for example, it is also in this photo. The current photo shoot was its last. After this shoot, we never washed it. The battle of the fabric with the celandine field was its last fight. It's a pity, because it has almost become a member of the studio (read: family).

This is how I take pictures and the model poses like this, and Vitalik looks like this, and Misha holds the light like this, and someone else took this shot, which we are now looking at like this.

And also like this.

B/W on Tilt/Shift 80 mm. Such a strange "blur" is the result of shooting with this unusual lens.

And then the promised rain started. Softbox as an umbrella. Pykha - nothing, camera - everything! We got ready, got into the cars and returned under the roof of the house. By the time we got there, the rain had stopped. So, we continued filming without leaving the sockets. Now it was time to start the smoke machine.

Outdoor photo studio. )

A fine drizzle started again. We didn't stop filming. The pillow was nothing, the flash was everything! The flash was protected from the rain by a pillow. And the sockets and extension cords were wrapped in polyethylene bags.

Ignoring the rain, we finished filming here, got ready and went back to the garden. The sun came out for a short while there.

Sometimes it rained again and we hid. And after waiting, we threw down our umbrellas, came out from under the softboxes and continued our cheerful photo shoot. And this happened many, many times. It's strange, have you noticed that rain always lifts the mood. People caught in the rain always have fun. I wonder... why is that?

And in the rays of the sun that appeared at sunset, we finished our unforgettable shooting and went to look at the footage.
A huge, human thank you to everyone! It was great. Thank you, guys. )
