"Magazine style".
Well, of course, in brackets. There is no such style and there can't be. But, at the same time, it does exist. This is what photographers often say to each other when they want to designate the style of photography that magazines use to illustrate their articles in the Fashion & Beauty direction.
What does “magazine-style” really mean? For some, it sounds like a cliché — something abstract that doesn’t exist as a real genre. Yet for many photographers, it’s a clear reference to the glossy language of Fashion & Beauty editorials: polished, cinematic, and created to look like it belongs on the pages of Vogue or GQ.
I often approach my work with couples and portraits in this way. A magazine-style photoshoot is not about staging artificial glamour — it’s about creating images that feel both natural and stylish, while carrying a sense of story. On Phu Quoc Island, this approach is especially powerful: the tropical scenery, empty beaches, and golden light provide the perfect stage for cinematic imagery.
Whether it’s a romantic couple session, a creative portrait, or a wedding photoshoot, I bring the same editorial vision. The result? Photos that could easily be printed in a magazine — but are even more meaningful because they belong to your story.
In the original, these photos are somewhat different from each other, but I like to post photos with landscape orientation.
Therefore, I brought these two photos to a common denominator so that they look harmoniously with each other, merged them and posted them like this. These are the second and third photos from the series of photos of Petras and Anastasia.
