My story began quite some time ago.

I have educational projects of my own, yet some photographers would rather ask me to retouch their photos “the way you do yours” than learn how to do it themselves. Sometimes it’s their clients who specifically ask for my editing, sometimes the photographer wants to enrich their portfolio with attractive “good works”. Of course, it was all in hush-hush way without being too vocal about it.
 

No problem - I’ll do that!
 

At first I haven’t exactly understand why do they come to me for retouching, especially when there are studios and companies who specialize only on post-editing but as it turned out my being a professional photographer has a lot to do with it. I know what needs to be done to the picture, because I shoot myself.
 

For example, you outsource your photographs to some Indian “Photoshop specialist” who probably never in his life’s held a camera in his hands. To get what you want from him you must explain him every detail of every picture and then again explain what he‘s done wrong and how to fix it. Now, imagine you have 100 pics photo session to edit! The whole point of division of labor is lost here, because you waste time on explanations anyway.
 

I, on the other hand, don’t ask questions. I just do everything the way I would’ve done it with my own photographs.

It’s simple. You upload RAW-files and tell me what kind of retouching do you want and when do you want it done. Then I calculate total price and if you agree to it, our collaboration begins! I work only with 100% pre-payment.

This story began quite a long time ago, when photographers started asking me to retouch their work instead of learning to do it themselves. They needed strong portfolio samples, and their clients wanted photos that looked like mine. At first, my services were private. But with time, more and more photographers kept ordering regularly, and it quickly turned into a well-established business.

Good or bad, cheap or expensive and mostly both bad and expensive. But the scheme is working. Photographers shoot photos and post processors edit them. It all seems reasonable. But why asking me then? It turned out that I’m not only good at post processing but I’m also a photographer who has high level clients and knows how to deal with each photo. I can make photos that will become top shots in one’s portfolio. I don’t ask questions and I just do it as it was my own creation. Processed photos get “my style” in the end which is the reason why people come to me in the first place. Turns out I’m a dream post-processor. )

 

When you bring your photo to a third-party post-editor you have to describe what and where you’d like to fix. Usual post-processor doesn’t make any decisions but asks you to make them. The image is edited according to the description and then sent to you for review. Then you highlight problem areas, explain what needs to be changed and then send the image back to the post-processor. After that he makes the corrections and sends the file back to you. Then the cycle repeats over and over again. Some photographers claim that they had to write up to 10 emails for each photo while working with a post-processor. Imagine it having 50 shots to edit. This way the division of labor doesn’t make any sense. Photographer wastes his time on useless writing. Eventually, all those photographers switched on working with me.
