POTAP AND NASTYA KAMENSKIKH

Most of my days are spent photographing weddings and love stories by the sea, surrounded by tropical light and endless horizons. Life on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam gives me calm and inspiration, but photography often opens doors to unexpected adventures far beyond the beaches.

That was the case when I was invited to take part in a Fashion project with two of the most famous music performers. Suddenly, instead of preparing for another island sunset session, I found myself in the middle of a production filled with stylists, assistants, and the unique chaos of the show business world.

For me it became both a challenge and a discovery. I wanted to carry into this glamorous atmosphere the same authenticity and honesty that I value in natural, spontaneous photography. The result was a shoot where the glitter of celebrity life met genuine emotions — and that’s exactly what makes every frame special.

Potap and Nastya Kamenskikh are starting a series of backstage photo shoots for the Fashion calendar.

Now, after the release of the Fashion calendar 2011, I can freely share with you the photos I took for it by order of Marina Asaulyuk.
Initially, it was planned that I would shoot the entire calendar + cover. But, other photographers still had to take a few photos instead of me. The first incident happened when Kirkorov flew to Kyiv unexpectedly.

And I had a wedding photo shoot planned for that day for a long time. Of course, I shot the wedding. The deal is more expensive than Kirkorov.) And we simply did not have time to shoot a couple of stars on time. It was not possible to coordinate their performance schedules with my shooting schedule and other organizational issues. Everything dragged on a bit. Then I got married, the wedding, the honeymoon... well, something like that.)))

Okay, let's get started. I have already told you a little about the photoshoot of Potap and Nastya Kamensky.

We photographed them in the university botanical garden, buried deep inside, away from onlookers and passers-by. Although there were so many media representatives that sometimes they simply interfered with our work, getting underfoot and trying to shoot from the same point as me. Everything went as planned. Except for the chandelier.

The choice of location was changed on the day of the shoot, away from people, so it was not possible to hang it, since there were no trees nearby between which it would be possible to stretch ropes.

And selfies with Potap and Nastia Kamenskih.

Therefore, I propped the chandelier up to the sofa so that in the frame it would look as if Potap put his foot on it. A funny incident happened when he climbed onto the same sofa with his feet: he sat on the back, of course he overhung it and fell back into the ferns with a crash. The paparazzi immediately clicked their cameras. Everyone has their own job.)

After that, a person was seated behind the sofa to hold the support and I continued filming. The result is in front of you. Enjoy watching.
