On Google Maps, you can see Vinh Dam Beach as higher than Sao and Khem Beaches. But compared to them, it's a quiet, peaceful beach with all the necessary amenities for a day at the sea, without the crowds.

Vinh Dam Beach isn't your typical crowded tourist beach. It's more like a quiet coastal retreat with a comfortable, established area. It features clean paths, a small park-like atmosphere with palm trees and grass, and enough small corners to create a full-fledged photo shoot without having to venture anywhere else.
This is exactly what many couples need for a pre-wedding or engagement photoshoot - space to breathe, fewer people around, and simple, elegant backdrops. Add to this a beach bar, seafood restaurant, and basic amenities like restrooms and parking, and the entire photoshoot becomes easier and more comfortable. There's space to change, shower, have a coconut or cocktail and eat.

The sand here is light-colored, which adds brightness and creates a sense of airiness to the photos taken here. The coastline is gently sloping and visually clear, allowing us to capture both wide shots of space and close-ups with a soft beach backdrop.

The availability of parking, restrooms, and a convenient layout are essential. You don't have to waste energy searching for essentials, so you stay in a good mood and enjoy the experience. There's also a shower on the beach, which is a great spot for a few fun photos after a dip in the sand and water.

For this beach, I recommend scheduling the couple's photoshoot starting around 2:00 PM. The light is more pleasant and flattering, making it easier to create soft, clean shots without harsh, direct sunlight. This time also allows us to finish the session smoothly, without rushing.

Sunrise at Vinh Dam Beach can be a wonderful personal ritual - a quiet stroll, breathing exercises, and simple meditation by the sea. It's a special way to experience the east coast. Due to my photoshoot schedule, I don't plan to photograph the sunrise here - the place is best seen in daylight. However, I highly recommend catching the sunrise here.

On the east side of Phu Quoc Island, you won't see a true sunset over the sea, and it gets dark quickly there. Therefore, a classic sunset photoshoot during golden hour isn't the best option for Vinh Dam. Instead, we'll focus on beautiful daytime photography with soft light and a tranquil coastline. For sunset photography, I recommend the island's west coast.

Many couples worry about the rainy season, but Vinh Dam Beach often becomes even more appealing at this time of year. Situated on the east coast, the sea can be calmer, the sand looks especially vibrant, and the sky adds drama without disrupting the relaxed atmosphere. If you're looking for a tropical, cinematic atmosphere with a peaceful vibe, this season is perfect for you.

Here is a simple, proven flow that works naturally for both 1-hour and 2-hour sessions.

1. Park walk with palms and installations

2. We start with an easy walk to warm up. No posing stress, just simple movement, hand holding, and natural interaction.

3. Coconut stop at the beach bar

4. We shoot a short lifestyle set with a coconut - seated, leaning, laughing, a calm close hug.

5. Swing and seating corner

6. A few frames on the swing, then on loungers or poufs. This gives variety and a relaxed editorial vibe.

7. Shoreline walk

8. We finish with clean beach frames - walking at the waterline, soft touch, simple close portraits.

Everything from the 1-hour plan, plus:

1. More variety in the landscaped zone
2. We take extra time for different angles, wider frames, and details like hands, hair, and gentle close-ups.
3. Playful water set
4. We step into the water, splash a little, and create natural movement. This part always makes couples loosen up.
5. Sand frames
6. We sit down on the sand, lie back for a few relaxed shots, and create that “holiday together” feeling.
7. Beach shower finale
8. A short series under the shower can look stylish, fresh, and fun. It is a great ending that feels spontaneous and real.

Lightweight, breathable fabrics are best. Linen, cotton, soft dresses, neutral tones, and pastels look beautiful against the bright sand. Colorful pieces look interesting, for example, a pink or yellow dress and a matching shirt for the man, matching the woman's attire. For a pre-wedding photo shoot, consider bringing a second set of clothes: one more elegant for the park and one beach-style option for the water and sand.
If you plan to swim in the sea, bring beautiful, preferably brightly colored, beachwear. Accessories always look wonderful.
