HOW TO LIBERATE A MODEL?

Today I wanted to talk about models, not professional ones, but "mere mortals". Sometimes people come to us who have never worked with a professional, they look in horror at all the softboxes, plates, they are afraid to make an unnecessary move. And the word PSD that slipped out of the photographer's mouth is perceived not as a PSD file extension, but as a rude, hidden curse in their direction.)))

The most important thing is to establish contact between you and the model. Of course, it is easier with professionals. They, as a rule, know how to quickly enter the work process, trust the photographer and give themselves completely to the work.

With clients from the street it can be more difficult. Sometimes, a person withdraws into himself and, with all his desire to work on camera, he does not succeed very well... If tension is the first thing you see in the previews, then you should put your ideas aside a little and try to establish a relationship with the model, give her the opportunity to relax. Here, of course, you need to be more of a psychologist, but there are also standard techniques:

— the simplest is to show a couple of successful shots, it is advisable to do this periodically. When you see a good result, you want to do
even better.

— second, compliments, this is the basis of the basics! Nothing liberates
a person like a relevant compliment, praise her smile, eyes or
sexuality. Just don't overdo it, it should not be blatant
flattery, so that the model does not take all this as banter or does not
suspect you of deceit. You will see how a person blossoms before your eyes.

— try to be simpler in communication, tell some facts from your
life, share some of your thoughts, maybe tell a funny story... usually this removes the distance a little.

— if the above does not help, move on to the heavy artillery.
Ask the model to do something unusual, jump, shout "hurray!" loudly, stick out her tongue, make her climb a tree in the end. And it doesn't matter whether you need it for your idea or not, the main thing is that when she gets down from the tree, it will be easier for her to watch the usual productions and her body will relax.

In general, all methods are good here, I think that these are far from the only

ways.

I heard about a photographer who kicks the model with his feet, and another, in order to evoke emotions in the model, says: "And was it by any chance you farted?" In my opinion, these are not the best methods, but they say that they are effective.)
And how do you solve such a problem?
