How was I photographed while being photographed?
I once photographed clients celebrating their wedding day on a boat at sea in Thailand near Koh Samui.
As I walked along the deck, I saw a Thai man, the ship's captain, peacefully gazing out to sea. Everyone was milling around inside, the music was blaring, the guests were having fun, and he was sitting peacefully, gazing into the distance. I decided to take some photos. It was very atmospheric.
And at that moment, Ira Simonova saw me taking photos and took a few shots of me that weren't in the frame. Thus, this little visual story of the creation of a single image was born.
