Weddings are different.
Boring and fun, for yourself and to serve the obligation for the parents. I have a video of the groom, who at the beginning of the celebration of his wedding in a restaurant openly fights sleep from boredom, he just "nodded off" jerking himself away. He needed to "serve". And he passed it with honor.) I honestly admire such courageous actions for the sake of their loved ones.
And once, one videographer, after the wedding, complained to me that he did not have material to edit a video clip. I was surprised, pointing out that it was just a crazy wedding, just explosive young people, completely torn off, a dress on their heads, champagne flowing like a river ... I have a sea of amazing wedding photos! How so? To which he replied that he also has a lot of material for Home Porno for the newlyweds, and what will he use to edit their wedding clip? )
So, weddings are different.
This is a video of one of the unusual weddings where I was a photographer. The guys booked the day in advance. At the preliminary meeting they expressed their wishes for something not much, but most importantly something staged and unusual. So that it would be "in my style". They agree to everything except diving into the water. Ok! ) I have long had an idea to implement a series of photoshoots with the newlyweds at the table in unusual places for this action. Only they are alone. Their own universe in this world of rules of how to do and how not to do. So. Natasha and I offered them two photoshoots on the theme of Love Story.
One is more fun than the other. We made a list of things for the guys that they should get and prepare. On the wedding day, as you know, time is very limited for full-scale staged photo shoots. Therefore, sometimes the preparation depends on whether this production will be realized at all or not. I know that there are weddings where getting to a restaurant is more important than a photo shoot on a walk. Everyone drops everything and flies to the restaurant early so as not to be late! Brutal. Somehow such clients bypass me. And thank God. It's better for everyone. Otherwise, they'll want me to take pictures of them near the birches.)
The location was not chosen by chance. This is the back part of the Universitet metro station, smoothly flowing into the botanical garden. Not long before this shoot, I conducted another, advertising photo shoot in this botanical garden. As the customer's representative told me, the management of the botanical garden demanded a certain amount for the opportunity to conduct that advertising photo shoot.
And even in such conditions, I remember some crazy woman running up screaming about who we were and who even allowed us to shoot here? Keeping this in mind, we prepared everything clearly, distributed among the guests who did what to stage the shot. We expected that we would have some time. Even if the howling and hysteria of the greedy workers of the botanical garden starts again, we will still have time to shoot what we planned and peacefully go home.
The newlyweds prepared well. While I was tearing off the price tags from the towels, they told me how they cut out bow ties from black fabric themselves. They rented a table with chairs, a tablecloth and covers for them. They told a whole story about finding and buying a chandelier with a trip to the seller's home from the flea market. And much more.. And all this for the sake of a couple of shots at the exit. Well done! The groom's friends acted as waiters. A good reason to involve the guests so that they would not get bored. Without disturbing and vice versa, supporting the story in the frame.
This is the first photo from the series "wedding portrait at the table". I think we can say that this is the "simplest" place in this whole series. It will be even more fun further on. The guys were filmed in the water.)
And others, on the pedestal for the prize car near the former restaurant "River Palace"...
