I once wrote about buying a coated ARAX 80mm Tilt/Shift lens with shift (11mm) and tilt (8 degrees), which allows you to shift and tilt the optical axis of the lens.
In addition, the entire lens unit can rotate 360 degrees, rotating the direction of corrections. This makes it possible to correct optical distortions and create an infinite number of optical effects at the hardware level, which is much more effective than software.
So.
Less than a year and a half has passed since I took a walk around the outskirts of the small town with the ARAX 80mm Tilt/Shift lens. All the photos presented were taken with a Canon 1Ds Mark lll. All photos were taken at the widest aperture — f/2.8. Overall, the ARAX 80mm Tilt/Shift is an interesting and unusual glass with interesting effects.
It is extremely difficult to get into the model's eyes when doing portrait photography. A lens with a small depth of field and a completely unrealistic direction of this depth. But after half an hour of shooting, I got used to it and was already simply enjoying the walk observed through this wonderful Tilt-Shift lens. Watch the sharpness in the frames yourself. This is a fascinating activity for a crazy photographer. )
Enjoy watching.
How do you like this mysterious tilt/shift lens?
